Zoe is Here! - Birth Story Coming Soon.

Just wanted to give everyone an update (for those who don't already know) that Zoe is here!

She arrived on March 27th, at 9:58 a.m. via C-section as planned.  She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches long.  We had some bumpy spots after her arrival as she had immature lung syndrome and need a few days in the NICU but after five days we went HOME!  This time together as a family.

Here birth story is AMAZING and is coming soon!  I have to wait until Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine posts it in their Birth Day Blog.  When they do I will for sure share it with you!

Also, I plan on sharing with you my thoughts, feelings, struggles, and joys of parenting a rainbow baby as Zoe and I move forward together.  Stay tuned for more posts.  It seems that the grief doesn't go away, there is just an added layer.

Finally, again a big THANK YOU for supporting Nick, Zoe, and me during this difficult but joyful journey.

  2. So wonderful to hear. And you are correct. Having Zoe here does not remove any grief. Many find that SOME of their grief was actually on hold while pregnant with a rainbow, so on top of being a mom to a living child and dealing with all that, you may have a surge of grief that's been tabled, plus all the new grief associated with living with Zoe what you didn't get with Nora.

  3. welcome to little zoe, stay ever blessed. Your blog gives me faith.I lost my daughter at 41 wks to medical negligence last yr and am now 28 wks pregnant. Each emotion you describe captures my sentiments, some which I am afraid to admit. the point of holding a baby safely in my arms feels miraculous, but your blog makes me feel that little less alone.thank you.x

  4. I just read Zoe's birth story on Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine and what a lovely story that just brought tears to my eyes. Our first child, a daughter, was stillborn in January and your story just resonated so much with me. Thank you for sharing it and congratulations!

  5. This has given me such hope. My first baby, Freddie, was still born at 39 weeks in June. I miss him incredible amounts and the only thing getting me through is hope. Hope that one day I too will have a rainbow baby. Not to replace Freddie but to fill the massive void that has appeared in my life. Thank you for sharing your story, it has given me courage xxx
